TLDR Traditional Chinese Medicine effectively treats hair loss by addressing specific body imbalances.
Professor WEI Yue-gang applied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles to treat androgenetic alopecia, categorizing it into syndromes such as endoretention of damp heat, blood deficiency and wind dryness, and deficiency of liver and kidney. He emphasized the detrimental effects of damp heat and focused on invigorating the spleen, eliminating dampness, cooling and activating blood, and nourishing the liver and kidney. This approach reportedly achieved considerable clinical efficacy.
