TLDR The herbal cream was found to be a safe and effective alternative for hair growth, similar to minoxidil.
The document from 2012 describes a preclinical study on a 2% polyherbal phyto-complex (PPHC) cream, which was tested on 18 albino rats to evaluate its hair growth promoting potential in comparison to 2% minoxidil. The study found that the PPHC cream had a smooth consistency, a slightly acidic pH, and was stable with a shelf life of 17.57 months. It was non-irritating, free of microbial contamination, and did not alter blood mineral levels. The cream showed comparable efficacy to minoxidil in terms of hair growth initiation and completion times, hair length, and the percentage of hair follicles in the anagen phase. The PPHC cream also resulted in hair that was silky, shiny, and soft. The study concluded that the 2% PPHC cream could be a safe and effective alternative to synthetic hair growth promoters.
