Formulation and Evaluation of a Polyherbal Hair Dye Using Phyllanthus Reticulatus Fruit

The study developed a polyherbal hair dye using Phyllanthus reticulatus fruit as the main natural coloring agent, combined with other herbal ingredients like Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Lawsonia inermis, and Emblica officinalis. This formulation aimed to provide a safer and eco-friendly alternative to synthetic hair dyes, which often cause scalp irritation and allergic reactions. The polyherbal dye was evaluated for various parameters, including color deposition, stability, and safety, showing satisfactory results without causing irritation. Additionally, it exhibited antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, making it beneficial for scalp health. The study concludes that this polyherbal hair dye is a safe, effective, and economical alternative to synthetic dyes, with added therapeutic benefits.
