Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): Molecular Mechanisms, Actions and Clinical Applications in Human Body

    Wen-Shan Wu, Li-Ru Chen, Kuo-Hu Chen
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a promising tool in regenerative medicine due to its rich content of growth factors that promote tissue repair and regeneration. It is used in various medical fields, including orthopedics, dermatology, gynecology, and dentistry, for applications such as tendon and bone healing, skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and wound healing. PRP's effectiveness is linked to its ability to enhance angiogenesis, reduce inflammation, and modulate immune responses. However, the variability in PRP preparation and composition affects clinical outcomes, necessitating standardized protocols to optimize its efficacy. Despite its potential, further research is needed to validate findings and establish consistent treatment protocols.
