Studies on the Pharmacokinetics and Bioequivalence of Domestic Finasteride Tablet in Healthy Volunteers
January 2004
TLDR Domestic and imported finasteride tablets work the same in the body.
The study aimed to evaluate the bioequivalence of domestic and imported finasteride tablets in 20 healthy volunteers using a randomized crossover design. Each participant received a single oral dose of 10 mg of either tablet, and finasteride concentrations were measured using the HPLC method. The pharmacokinetic parameters, including AUC0-24, Cmax, and Tmax, were similar for both products, with no significant differences observed (P>0.05). The relative bioavailability of the domestic tablet compared to the imported tablet was 100.73%. The study concluded that the domestic and imported finasteride tablets were bioequivalent.
