    The study explores the effects of Poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) on hair growth in aged skin by modulating hair follicular stem cells (HFSCs). PDLLA enhances hair growth by activating Piezo1, which promotes M2 macrophage polarization and increases the secretion of growth factors like HGF and IGF-1. These factors activate the RAS/ERK and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways, leading to increased HFSC proliferation and anagen phase induction. Experiments on middle-aged mice showed that PDLLA significantly increased hair follicle number, diameter, and length, suggesting its potential as a treatment for age-related hair loss. The study involved 5 mice per group, highlighting PDLLA's promise in enhancing HFSC activity and hair follicle regeneration.
