TLDR PCOS significantly harms married women's quality of life, affecting mental health, fertility, and body image.
A study involving 377 married women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) revealed significant negative impacts on their quality of life, particularly in psychological well-being, fertility concerns, and body image. The research utilized the PCOSQOL-47 scale and found that 89.9% of participants reported marked psychological and emotional impairment, while 64.5% experienced significant effects on fertility and sexual life. Body image issues were prevalent in 68.7% of women, and hair disorders and acne affected 56.8%. Obesity and menstrual disturbances were also significant concerns for 59.4% of participants.
