    The study analyzed pattern hair loss-related content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, revealing that healthcare professionals predominantly create content on YouTube, while non-healthcare providers, such as patients and influencers, dominate TikTok and Instagram. Non-healthcare content on TikTok receives higher engagement, although it is often of lower quality compared to the higher-quality videos by healthcare professionals, as measured by DISCERN scores. The study underscores the need for healthcare professionals to leverage social media effectively to disseminate accurate information, suggesting a multi-platform approach and interactive features like TikTok's "Duet" to combat misinformation and enhance educational impact.
