In a cross-sectional study at an academic tertiary dermatology center, 40 patients with alopecia (20 women and 20 men) used a keratin hair fiber filler for 90 days to camouflage hair loss. The study aimed to evaluate patient satisfaction and any adverse effects from using the product. Results from questionnaires indicated that patients experienced improved hair volume and increased confidence and attractiveness. A high satisfaction rate of 92.5% was reported for the product's ability to match hair color and provide coverage. No serious adverse effects were noted. The study concluded that topical hair fiber fillers are an effective and safe option for improving the appearance of hair and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with alopecia.
