TLDR COVID-19 patients need more support after leaving the hospital due to ongoing health issues.
The study explored the experiences of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and their quality of life after discharge through semi-structured telephone interviews. The findings highlighted that patients faced significant physical and psychological challenges during hospitalization, including feelings of isolation and anxiety. Post-discharge, many patients reported ongoing health issues, such as fatigue and breathlessness, which affected their quality of life. The study emphasizes the need for comprehensive post-discharge support to address these long-term effects and improve patient outcomes.
