TLDR Combining PRP and microneedling effectively improves hair growth and patient satisfaction for hair loss.
The combination of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and microneedling is a promising and effective treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA), significantly improving hair density and thickness with high patient satisfaction rates (82%-91%). This therapy enhances growth factor delivery and stimulates healing pathways, with a favorable safety profile and fewer pain-related complaints compared to PRP alone. However, challenges such as variability in PRP preparation and small sample sizes remain. Future research should aim for large-scale, standardized trials and personalized approaches to optimize outcomes and establish guidelines.
