TLDR The removed ovarian tumor was a rare type of blood vessel tumor that improved the patient's symptoms and hormone levels after surgery.
A 61-year-old female presented with symptoms of hirsutism, hair loss, and a deeper voice, which are indicative of hyperandrogenic syndrome. Her blood tests showed elevated testosterone levels but normal DHEAS. Initial ultrasound did not reveal abnormalities, but subsequent MRI detected a solid mass in the right ovary. Surgical removal of the mass followed, and pathological analysis confirmed it to be a capillary-type ovarian hemangioma with stromal luteinization. Post-surgery, the patient showed significant improvement in both clinical symptoms and hormone levels.
