TLDR Bicalutamide improves hair density in women safely.
This pilot study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of bicalutamide in treating female pattern hair loss. The study found that bicalutamide presented an excellent safety profile and led to a great improvement in hair density in 53% of patients without significant adverse effects. The study suggests that bicalutamide might be a novel and useful therapeutic option for women with FPHL, with a better safety profile than flutamide.
