    Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a plant from the Meliaceae family known for its extensive medicinal and nutritional properties, utilized since ancient times. It contains various enzymes and phytoconstituents, including catalase, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, and ascorbate peroxidase, as well as compounds like azadirachtin, nimbin, and salanin. These constituents contribute to neem's wide range of pharmacological applications, such as anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antifungal, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antimalarial effects. Neem is also beneficial for hair growth, skin issues, and menstrual pain relief. The review highlights neem's strong medicinal properties and cosmetic uses, with no reported adverse effects except for those allergic to it.
