TLDR Combining NdYag laser with pulsed light effectively treats rosacea with manageable side effects.
The study examined the effectiveness of using a Cutera Xeo laser, combining NdYag 1064 nm and LimeLight 520–1100 nm probes, in treating 68 patients with rosacea subtypes 1 and 2. The treatment targeted telangiectasias and diffuse facial erythema, papules, and pustules. Optimal results for diffuse facial erythema were achieved with 3 to 6 sessions, while telangiectasia required 2 sessions spaced monthly. Side effects included bruises, pustules, burning sensations, transient stinging, and hypopigmentation. The treatment effectively reduced symptoms, leading to complete remission in most cases and improving patients' quality of life, emphasizing the need for individualized treatment plans due to rosacea's multifactorial nature.
