TLDR Nanoemulgel improves delivery and effectiveness of plant-based drugs for various conditions.
Nanoemulgel is emerging as an innovative platform for delivering lipophilic phytomolecules, addressing issues like poor water solubility, permeability, and stability at physiological pH, which limit their bioavailability. This novel topical delivery system combines hydrogel and nanoemulsion, enhancing drug permeability and therapeutic efficacy for conditions such as acne, psoriasis, fungal infections, inflammation, and rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, nanoemulgel can be used for ocular, vaginal, dental, and nose-to-brain delivery routes, treating local and systemic ailments like alopecia, periodontitis, and Parkinson's disease. Its noninvasive nature, high penetration ratio, and ease of application make it a promising formulation for future drug delivery.
