TLDR Most patients prefer clinics that play music during procedures.
This preliminary study investigated the impact of music on anxiety and satisfaction during PRP scalp injections for hair loss in 23 patients. Patients were divided into two groups, alternating music exposure between visits. Results showed that 78.2% and 65.2% of patients would be more likely to continue treatment if pain and anxiety were reduced. Male participants (n=6) reported fewer symptoms with music (mean=3.33) compared to without music (mean=4.67), while the effect on female patients (n=17) was inconclusive. Overall, 87% of patients preferred clinics offering music during procedures.
