    The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a microemulsion-based flushing fluid in removing mud cake formed by drilling fluid during well cementation. The microemulsions were composed of vegetable castor oil, 2%wt KCl as the aqueous phase, and a nonionic surfactant (Ultranex NP40). The research evaluated thermal stability, rheological properties, removal efficiency, and wettability inversion. The microemulsions exhibited Newtonian fluid behavior. The optimal formulation consisted of 70% surfactant, 25% oil phase, and 5% aqueous phase, achieving a cloudy temperature of 365.25 K, a mud cake removal efficiency of 84.85%, and a high capability for wettability inversion.
