Clinical Perspective on Management of Key Adverse Events with Sacituzumab Govitecan

Sacituzumab govitecan (SG) is used for treating certain types of advanced breast cancer, but it can cause adverse events such as neutropenia (61%), diarrhea (64%), fatigue (51%), and alopecia (45%). This review highlights the importance of managing these side effects effectively, drawing on clinical studies and personal experience. It emphasizes the need for clinicians to be aware of risk factors like UGT1A1 polymorphism and advanced age. Practical cases are presented to illustrate management strategies, providing oncologists with guidance on the safe use of SG to maximize patient benefit in real-world settings.
