    A 5-year-old female Labrador with symptoms of hair loss, itching, redness, and skin thickening was diagnosed with a Malassezia pachydermatitis infection through microscopic examination. The dog was treated with oral terbinafine and topical ketoconazole, leading to a successful recovery, as confirmed by a negative impression smear examination post-treatment.
