TLDR Both endoscopic and pretrichial open forehead lifts effectively elevate eyebrows long-term with high patient satisfaction.
This study evaluated the long-term outcomes of endoscopic and pretrichial open forehead lifts in 65 patients, with an average follow-up of 6 years. Both techniques significantly elevated the eyebrows and maintained this effect over time. Patient satisfaction was high, with 32 patients completing FACE-Q questionnaires indicating satisfaction with the results. The study concluded that both procedures are effective for long-term eyebrow elevation, with no significant difference in outcomes between the two techniques. Minor complications were similar between groups, and the choice of method may depend on factors like scarring and scalp sensitivity, especially for patients with hair loss or alopecia.
