TLDR Combining liposuction with laser ablation effectively reduces underarm odor with minimal side effects.
The study treated 18 patients with axillary osmidrosis using a combination of liposuction and diode laser ablation from December 2011 to August 2012. Over a follow-up period averaging 13.8 months, patients reported satisfaction with reduced foul odor, except for one individual. No complications such as hematoma, infections, skin necrosis, hair loss, or hypertrophic scars were observed. Microscopic analysis confirmed a reduction in apocrine glands. The study concluded that combining liposuction with laser ablation was more effective than using each method alone, with similar morbidity and allowing for early exercise.

A 21-year-old male with a thyroid condition noticed his hair thinning uniformly without a receding hairline. He is considering using a 5ARI to prevent further baldness if he starts TRT.
