TLDR Diode laser removes hair better but is more painful than intense pulsed light.
The study compared the effectiveness of diode laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) for axillary hair removal in 21 females over six sessions with a 6-month follow-up. Both methods significantly reduced hair shafts, with the diode laser being more effective but also more painful than IPL. No serious or permanent adverse effects were observed, concluding that both technologies are effective, safe, and produce lasting results in axillary hair removal.
