TLDR No clear link between androgenetic alopecia and COVID-19 was found.

The study explored the potential link between androgenetic alopecia and COVID-19, focusing on the role of androgens in the disease's development. It was noted that androgens might facilitate the entry of SARS-CoV-2 into cells and influence the body's inflammatory response. While patients with conditions associated with high androgen levels, like androgenetic alopecia, appeared to have a higher incidence of COVID-19, the relationship was not clearly established. The study concluded that further research was needed to determine any direct cause-and-effect relationship between androgenetic alopecia and COVID-19.
