TLDR The laser treatment effectively reduced hair growth in women with hirsutism, with temporary side effects.
This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of the LightSheer Diode EP Laser System for hair removal in 552 women with hirsutism at the Andromeda Medical Office in Italy. The treatment resulted in a significant and rapid reduction in hair growth, which continued to improve at long-term follow-ups. Side effects included crusting, particularly in women with thick black hair treated on the face, but these resolved within three days without permanent skin discoloration. Most patients reported experiencing some pain during the procedure.
