Formulation and Safety Testing of Krokot Extract Hair Tonic on Rabbit Hair Growth

The study investigated the benefits of krokot extract as a hair tonic, focusing on its safety and effectiveness in promoting hair growth on rabbit skin. The research involved formulating the hair tonic, determining the appropriate pH, and conducting microbiological, pH, activity, irritation, and organoleptic tests. Results showed that the hair tonic had a safe microbiological profile with a total plate count of 2.3 x 10^1 colonies/ml and no presence of harmful bacteria or fungi. The tonic was effective in lengthening and increasing hair weight, did not cause irritation, and had a pleasant aroma and color according to respondents.
