    TLDR A man with a new type of male pattern hair loss that affects the back of the head responded well to common hair loss treatments.
    A man in his 50s with progressive hair thinning in the occipital area and the typical Hamilton-Norwood pattern of male androgenetic alopecia (MAGA) hair loss was diagnosed with a novel isotype of MAGA, named inverse-MAGA. This diagnosis was based on his clinical features, trichoscopy findings, histological features, and his positive response to conventional anti-MAGA therapeutic drugs, such as finasteride and minoxidil. The study suggests that this new isotype should be further evaluated in future research.
