TLDR The system improved diabetic wound healing in rats.
The study investigated the use of a human Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 (hIGF-1) loaded transfersomal system (TF/hIGF-1) to enhance skin wound healing in diabetic rat models. The results showed that hIGF-1 released from the system in a controlled manner significantly promoted re-epithelialization and granulation tissue formation in diabetic wounds compared to controls. This suggests that the TF/hIGF-1 system could be a promising and effective approach for treating diabetic wounds.
