Christie G. Regula, Jennie T. Clarke
TLDR The treatment didn't work for the woman's hair loss and skin darkening.
A 27-year-old healthy female experienced progressive alopecia and hyperpigmentation on her forehead and frontal scalp over 2 years, with no history of trauma or systemic symptoms. Rheumatologic tests were normal except for an antinuclear antibody titer of 1:160. Treatment with an intralesional injection of triamcinolone acetonide was ineffective.
