    Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) was a chronic disease affecting hair follicles, often linked with obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. Treatment included systemic and topical therapies like antibiotics, retinoids, hormones, and immunosuppressive drugs, along with surgical and laser interventions. The article reviewed wound healing methods post-skin excision and laser treatments, emphasizing secondary intention healing. It analyzed the effectiveness of various wound dressings, negative pressure wound therapy, bioactive dressings, and skin-grafting techniques.
