Homeopathic Management of Scarring Alopecia in Discoid Lupus Erythematosus: A Case Report

This case report discusses the potential effectiveness of homeopathy in treating scarring alopecia caused by chronic Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (CDLE). A 49-year-old female with a history of hair loss and systemic symptoms due to CDLE experienced adverse effects from conventional treatments like hydroxychloroquine. After switching to homeopathic treatment, she showed significant improvement over six months, with her bald patches fully covered with hair and her serological profile turning ANA-negative. The report suggests that homeopathy may offer symptom relief and hair regrowth in such cases, though further clinical research is needed to confirm these findings.
