TLDR An integrative homeopathic approach may help manage acne, but more research is needed.
This narrative review explores the potential benefits of an integrative homoeopathic approach in managing acne vulgaris, focusing on combining constitutional prescribing with the topical application of specific mother tinctures like Calendula officinalis, Berberis aquifolium, and Echinacea angustifolia. Preliminary studies and clinical observations suggest that this approach may promote healing, reduce inflammatory lesions, and improve post-inflammatory pigmentation, while addressing underlying susceptibility and maintaining systemic balance. However, the current evidence is limited due to small sample sizes and methodological variations, highlighting the need for well-designed clinical trials to establish stronger scientific evidence for its effectiveness.
