The study investigated the histologic changes in the skin of hairless mice after applying salicylic acid solutions at concentrations of 7.5%, 15.0%, and 30.0% for 20 minutes. The solutions were prepared in either ethanol or macrogol. The skin was examined immediately and at intervals of 1, 3, 12, 24, and 48 hours post-treatment. The research aimed to understand the effects of salicylic acid used in chemical peeling, which was known to be effective without causing wounds or inflammation. The findings provided insights into the histologic alterations induced by different concentrations of salicylic acid over time.
