Formulation, Development and Evaluation of Herbal Powder Shampoo

The study aimed to develop a herbal powder shampoo using natural ingredients, including Multani mitti, Fenugreek, Amla, Banana extract, Hibiscus, Jasmine, Green tea, Reetha, and Curry leaves, known for their effectiveness in hair care. The formulation sought to offer a natural alternative to synthetic shampoos, which have been associated with negative impacts due to preservatives and detergents. Banana extract was used for its moisturizing and conditioning properties. The shampoo was formulated on a laboratory scale and evaluated for various parameters such as bulk density, tap density, porosity, ash value, solubility, pH, and foaming index, resulting in a highly effective dry powder shampoo.
