TLDR Herbal hair gel with fenugreek seed extract was found to increase hair growth.
The study investigated the effects of a herbal hair gel containing fenugreek seed extract on hair growth. Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), known for its phytoestrogen content, was chosen due to its weak estrogen activity, which could potentially serve as a natural alternative to estrogen therapy with fewer side effects. The gel was formulated using Carbopol 934, glycerin, pvp, methyl paraben, PEG, and Triethanolamine. An in vivo study was conducted using 2.5mg of the fenugreek extract applied to the shaved skin of mice to assess hair length and the progression of hair follicles through the anagen and s phases. After 30 days of application, the fenugreek extract gel showed significant results in increasing hair growth. Additionally, the gel was characterized for its physicochemical properties, phytochemical content, spreadability, pH, viscosity, and stability.

Other users suggest that while these sprays may improve hair health, they are not as effective as minoxidil and finasteride for regrowing hair, and recommend using proven treatments like finasteride for better results.
