TLDR Some Kohl products in Iran have concerning heavy metal levels, needing stricter regulation.
The study investigated the contamination levels of heavy metals in Kohl products available in Iran, analyzing 30 samples from 10 brands. It found that the concentrations of cadmium, zinc, nickel, chrome, lead, and copper were within the World Health Organization's suggested range. However, the presence of high levels of these metals in noncertified Kohl was concerning, highlighting the need for constant vigilance and regulation to ensure that heavy metal levels remain within allowable limits before these products enter the market.
