TLDR Human dermal papilla cell vesicles can reduce skin fibrosis in mice.
This study investigated the effects of extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from human dermal papilla cells (hDPCs) on skin fibrosis in mice. The research involved 30 mice and found that hDPC-EVs, which contain higher levels of miRNA-182-5p, can alleviate skin fibrosis by inhibiting the TGF-β1 signaling pathway. The study demonstrated that treatment with hDPC-EVs led to a significant decrease in the protein expressions of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and type I collagen in fibrotic skin tissue. Additionally, miRNA-182-5p was shown to target and regulate TGF-β1, further supporting the potential therapeutic role of hDPC-EVs in treating skin fibrosis.
