TLDR The F3 hair serum with curry leaves and butterfly pea flower is effective against dandruff and fungi.
The study focused on formulating and evaluating a hair serum using extracts from Murraya koenigii (curry leaves) and Clitoria ternatea (butterfly pea flower), known for their medicinal and cosmetic properties. These extracts were incorporated into three serum formulations (F1, F2, and F3) and assessed for various properties, including antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The F3 formulation showed the best results, with a 22 mm zone of inhibition, indicating strong antifungal activity. The serum was lightweight, non-greasy, and effective in managing dandruff and scalp care. Further studies are suggested to confirm its long-term safety and efficacy.
