TLDR Korean ginseng berry may help with hair regrowth.
In a study conducted 14 years ago, researchers evaluated the hair regeneration effects of Korean ginseng berry (KGB) on C57BL/6 mice. The animals were divided into four groups and received different treatments: vehicle control (30% ethanol), positive control (5% minoxidil), and two experimental groups (KGB, 30 and 60 mg/ml). The treatments were topically applied on the depilated dorsal skin daily for four weeks. The KGB groups showed approximately 20% more hair follicle development than the vehicle group, indicating that KGB stimulated the anagen progression of the hair shaft. Interestingly, the lower dose KGB group had more effective hair reconstitution than the high dose KGB group. The major ginsenoside in KGB was Re (5.99%), which was 28 times more than that of Korean ginseng root. The study concluded that KGB has potential for hair regeneration.
