Alteration of Hair Growth in Mice by Circulating Exosomes from Xinji Fine-Wool and Small-Tailed Han Sheep

    TLDR Exosomes from small-tailed Han sheep can boost hair growth and thickness in mice.
    This study explored the impact of miRNAs in circulating exosomes from Xinji fine-wool and small-tailed Han sheep on hair growth in mice. Mice injected with exosomes from small-tailed Han sheep (SPE) exhibited significantly larger hair follicle diameters and hair thickness compared to those injected with exosomes from Xinji fine-wool sheep (XPE) and the control group. The expression of hair follicle growth markers and melanin synthesis genes suggested that circulating exosomes can accelerate hair follicle development and affect melanin synthesis. The study highlights the potential of circulating exosomes to influence hair growth characteristics.
