The study aimed to evaluate the hair growth effect of Dansam-Samultang in C57BL/6 mice. Four groups were tested: control (saline), positive control (minoxidil 3%), experimental 1 (Dansam-Samultang ethanol 2%), and experimental 2 (Dansam-Samultang toner 2%). Over four weeks, hair growth was observed, and various measurements were taken. Results showed no significant differences in water and feed consumption, body weight, or organ weight among groups. However, macroscopic and histological observations indicated that Dansam-Samultang promoted hair growth and increased follicle number and depth, as well as dermal thickness, with the most significant effects seen in the positive control group, followed by experimental groups. The study concluded that Dansam-Samultang was effective in promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss.
