The study investigated the role of gram-positive bacteria in acne vulgaris by analyzing samples from 50 patients at Benha University Hospital. The results showed bacterial growth under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions, with Staphylococcus epidermidis present in 70% of cases, Staphylococcus aureus in 24%, Micrococcus luteus in 4%, and Leuconostoc mesenteroides in 2%. The conclusion is that acne vulgaris is a common disease with multimicrobial causes.
