Therapeutic Effect of Ginger-Partitioned Moxibustion for Alopecia Areata

    The study observed the therapeutic effect of ginger-partitioned moxibustion combined with Shengfa Decoction on 65 patients with alopecia areata, divided into a treatment group (N = 40) and a control group (N = 25). The treatment group received both ginger-partitioned moxibustion and Shengfa Decoction, while the control group received only the decoction. Results showed that the treatment group had a higher total effective rate of 97.5% compared to 76.0% in the control group. Hair growth scores improved significantly in the treatment group after 1, 2, and 3 months, and the treatment was deemed more effective than the control. The study concluded that ginger-partitioned moxibustion combined with Shengfa Decoction was an effective and convenient therapy for alopecia areata.
