TLDR Giant solitary trichoepithelioma is a rare, usually non-cancerous hair follicle tumor that can sometimes turn into skin cancer.
Giant solitary trichoepithelioma (GST) is a rare benign tumor originating from hair follicles, representing a mature form of trichoblastoma. It can occur at any age but is most common in the elderly. Few cases have been reported globally, with some showing malignant transformation into basal cell carcinoma. This case is notable for its rare occurrence in the neck region and the diagnostic challenges it presented.
