TLDR Gentamicin-loaded exosomes improve healing of infected diabetic wounds in mice.
The study investigates the use of gentamicin-loaded exosomes derived from IMMUNEPOTENT CRP to treat infected diabetic wounds in mice. The results show that these exosomes significantly enhance collagen deposition, blood vessel formation, and hair follicle regeneration, while also modulating the inflammatory response by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and increasing anti-inflammatory IL-10. This approach demonstrates improved antimicrobial activity and tissue regeneration, suggesting it as a promising therapeutic strategy for diabetic foot ulcers by effectively combining infection control with regenerative and immunomodulatory effects.
