    The study examined the genetic basis of alopecia areata (AA) in 152 Jordanian patients compared to 150 healthy controls, focusing on immunity regulatory genes. It found a significant association between the CLEC4D rs4304840 SNP and AA, particularly in codominant and recessive forms, suggesting this gene variant may play a role in AA development. However, no significant associations were found with other genes after Bonferroni correction.
