TLDR Bhringaraj plant may help in wastewater treatment and improving drinking water quality.
The study focused on analyzing the dried leaves of Bhringaraj, a medicinal plant used in Ayurveda, using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The research aimed to identify the vibrational assignments, intensities, and wave numbers through absorption spectra, which helped in determining various functional groups and chemical constituents present in the plant. The findings highlighted the significance of herbal analysis and suggested potential applications of these medicinal plants in developing wastewater treatment technologies and improving the quality of drinking water.
