TLDR Using finasteride and minoxidil together improves the frontal hairline best in male hair loss.
The study assessed the effectiveness of oral finasteride and/or topical minoxidil on the frontal hair line (FHL) in 100 male patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) over six months. Patients were divided into three groups: Group 1 received finasteride, Group 2 used minoxidil, and Group 3 received both treatments. Results showed improvement in the FHL across all groups, with the combination therapy (Group 3) yielding the best results, particularly in the temporal recession and the center of the FHL. The study concluded that finasteride and minoxidil together had a synergistic effect on improving the FHL in AGA treatment.
