TLDR Finasteride affects young male rats' brain function and behavior negatively.
A study conducted on adolescent male rats found that the hair loss drug Finasteride inhibited the brain's dopaminergic system and open-field behaviors, resulting in reduced dopamine levels and decreased expression of tyrosine hydroxylase mRNA and protein in the substantia nigra and ventral tegmental area. This suggests potential negative effects on brain function and behavior in young males.
