TLDR Finasteride helps brain function in rats with liver-related brain issues.
The study investigated the effects of finasteride on motor, EEG, and cellular changes in rat brains with thioacetamide-induced hepatic encephalopathy. The results showed that finasteride improved motor function, reduced EEG abnormalities, and decreased lipid peroxidation in the brain. The study suggests that finasteride may have a therapeutic effect on hepatic encephalopathy.
